ARTIST NOTES: This abstract mixed media piece was another one of my iso creations. I like to call my art intuitive art as each layer and shape comes to me as i am painting. If you look closely at this piece you will notice a lot of difference shapes and you may even see the little hidden cat shape! This painting has been framed in a beautiful floating frame of Tassie Oak.

ARTIST BIO

I was originally born in New Zealand but left after my schooling and moved to London where I worked for several years as a Beauty Therapist. During this time I got to travel extensively through Europe, the Middle east and South East Asia. I finally made the move to Melbourne back in 2004.

My exploration in to my creative side started back in about 2008 when i attended a "painting for beginners" workshop at gasworks in Port Melbourne. I think I always did have a creative side that was not explored during my years of schooling. So attending the weekly workshops taught me the basics on how to paint and colour composition.

After a while I started to lose my mojo and got disheartened when all my art started to look similar, so i put down my paints and did not paint for several years.

After being stood down from my beloved job as a flight attendant during the Covid pandemic I decided to pick up my paints and start creating again. I have come to realised my mind works in bright, abstract shapes and colours. I like to call my art intuitive art as every piece will just come to me as i am painting.

I love how each layer brings a new dimension to the piece and there are always little surprises if you look closely.
